On Grid Residential

On grid solar power systems are also known as "grid connect" solar.

These systems comprise of solar panels which are connected to inverters that invert the solar DC power into useable AC power.

A typical residential system is between 3 - 5 kilowatts of solar panels.

Grid connect residential systems can include diverters - which divert excess power into the hot water cylinder and store the power as heat energy.

On grid systems can also include batteries - to store solar power for subsequent use.
